This picture is typical of the daily activities of people in Uganda. It shows them walking miles each way to gather water from any sources available, which are not always clean or healthy.

This example is from Lake Victoria where the people and the animals both go to get water. This results in many times the water being full of bacteria and other contaminants that cause many people to become sick when they use the water to drink or cook with.
